Congratulations on your new Yaris.
Is yours an automatic or a manual transmission? The engines tend to be a little bit tight when new. I drove mine easy for the first 1,000 miles.

Yaris' aren't fast cars to begin with but they get good gas mileage. I bet with a 1.3, you'll clear 40 mpg easy.

Oooh... 6 speed!

There are no 6 speeds here. Your engine size and that extra gear offer you the opportunity to get better gas mileage than any Yaris sold in the US. When you get to around 5,000 miles, your engine will get as good gas mileage as it is able The 1.5 engine sold here only has 106 bhp which is pretty close to yours.

I love my Yaris and so does my wife. We call it zippycar. It's a simple reliable economical car that's fun to drive.

And I'm the opposite, I'd give up the 1.5 for a 1.3 just to get a 6 speed. Maybe we should exchange countries!

I love to hear that you love your family. We do too, and are Grandpa and Grandma.
