Hi Guys ,

Have a nice day

My car is 2007 Yaris Sedan 1300 CC
I want to change my muffler to get deep and solid tone on the car .
i found a muffler on ebay :http://www.ebay.com/itm/171035094830?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

this is the specification :
Muffler (Silencer is included)
Style: N1 Slant Tip
Material: SUS304 / T304 Stainless Steel
Color: Chrome Burnt

Muffler Body : 12 Inch

Outlet Tip Length: 4 Inch

Outlet Diameter: 4 Inch

Inlet Tip Length: 2 Inch

Inlet Diameter: 2.5 Inch

and i see that the inlet of the muffler is 2.5 inch and my yaris exhaust pipe is 2 inch or may be less than 2 inch .

is someone know what is the exhaust pipe size for 2007 yaris sedan 1300 cc ?

and my question is how can i change the oem muffler to this muffler that have different size of pipe ?
and i dont want to make down the power of the car

please help me to change the muffler

the exhaust system is same as the attached photo
thanks and best regards

If its anything like ours...the stock tubing is 1.75"

if the 1.5L has 1.75" exhaust piping (pre-muff), then the 1.3L version of the same engine model should have a smaller one.

and my question is how can i change the oem muffler to this muffler that have different size of pipe ?

you can only go as far as 0.25" increase to not lose noticeable amount of torque, unless you have a turbo that needs to flow a lot of air out. on the same note, a 2.0 inlet muff can be the biggest you can go, 2.5" will be overkill (for a perspective, turbo'ed 1.6L engines only use 3.0")

although just changing the muff will not significantly affect the powerband, it will still. 0.02

thank you for your reply,

i think you are right that may be the exhaust pipe of my 1300 cc yaris will be less than 1.75 inch and may be it will be only 1.5 inch
if i will just cut the oem muffler, then make an adapter from 1.5 inch to 2.5 inch and add 2.5 inch pipe about 10 inch only to fit the long of the pipe after remove the old muffler and then put the new 2.5 inch muffler
with out changing any other OEM pipe or resonator or header .
do this modify will be good and will not changing the power of the car ?
i just want to get a good sound and not looking for increasing of more power or HP for the car.

the problem is i don't find any good 2 inch muffler on ebay .

please help me to resolve this matter

thank you
