Hi folks,

New to this and realtively new to the whole Yaris experience having recently 'upgraded from a pretty ancient Honda Jazz to a Yaris Tr that my employer has provided me. I work as part of a fleet operations team looking after a large fleet of mostly Toyotas and have come across a bit of a problem. I've got a 2012 Yaris Tr with a flat battery and I cannot now unlock the doors with either of the keys, I'm guessing the deadlocks are activated. Help please!?

The car does not have keyless entry or anything snazzy like that.

Ta v much!

Rich

If it has manual locks, the key should unlock the door without an issue. Are the keys that you are trying to use copies, as opposed to OEM keys?

They are the original OEM keys. I suspect there may be a fault with the lock mechanism as I can turn the key in both ways in the lock but nothing happens. Just trying to work out a way to open the bonnet from the outside...

So, both doors and the hatch won't open with the key?

To open the bonnet from outside the car, you would need to remove the plastic front under panel and reach up above the radiator to pop the latch.
