Here is a teaser. More to follow. Rims are Xxr 002s 16x8 no offset with 215 65s I used a honda coilover kit to raise it. I currently have around a foot of ground clearance.

Pulled my fenders with my bare hands today. Chopping up my bumper so I can actually turn.... more pics in the light tomorrow.

Nice! You just need to take the fenders right off - That way there is no place for snow to get packed.

Even better! With the looks that I get cruising around my neighborhood with Crashy, I can just imagine how much fun it would be to cruise all over with a lifted one.

The tiny wheels in the back..... putting the xxrs on the back tonight. That should do the trick :iono:

Little mock up for a junky skid plate thing.. got the other rims and didnt quite level it so ill have to figure something out for the rear.

Air adjustable helper springs may be your best bet for the rear. They are under $100 and work well (I use a set on Crashy to keep the rear from sagging when I have her dump bed full of dirt).

Is that all you used to lift the rear? Couldnt find how you did it on the crashy thread.

Yes. On Crashy the rear was always higher than the front, as with everything including the hatch removed there was zero weight back there. When I cut the top and added the power dump bed I found that once I put some weight in the bed that the rear would sag to the point where the tires would rub, so I added the helpers. Now, I can carry 1000 lbs of topsoil and she doesn't squat at all.

awesome ...looks like Mad Max car lol what about using rear springsof a sienna van or coilover sleeve with stock springs...suspension pucks may work like they use to lift/level jeeps , very cheap.

The biggest problem is the angle of the Rear axle.. and my struts are pretty maxed out. Ill probably just out bigger tires in the rear and call it a day.

I say that you get the axles+suspension off of a jeep and retrofit it to make it work. That would be sick! Some fat swampers on her and a sticker that says "Shit'll buff out."

The title (Silly off road build) jogged my memory re the Houston Auto Show last month. One of the aftermarket vendors, just for fun, had taken the wheels and tires off an ATV and had replaced them with snow treads!

Great pic. I heard somewhere, within the last few days, that Erie, PA has the most snow of any U.S. city so far this season....even a bit ahead of Buffalo, NY.

Its crazy! We had those trax things at the dealership I work at and trust me it crossed my mind.
