Dealership explains no need for alignment

I bought my Yaris brand spanking new with 18 miles on it, and after i got it on the highway, i noticed that it pulls ever slightly to the left. I figured hey, whatever, and before I even hit the 800 mile mark, I took it in for an alignment as per Toyota's warranty (which says any alignments need to be done before 1200). The odd thing about it thought, and they even gave me the alignment paper showing that it is off by no more than .02 degrees thrust angle (which is practically dead on) that the reason it pulls to the left is because being a smaller car it does not have positraction and the transaxle just does this. I figure they cant be lying to me because I walked around back of the service station and even saw them performing the alignment.

Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon? What do you guys think?

Haven't seen that, sorry. My car actually pulled hard to the right brand new and while the guys at the dealership said it was "very unusual" for one of Toyota's cars to need an allignment straight from the factory like that, when they looked at it, it was indeed significantly off. They straightened it and I haven't had any troubles with it since, either to the left or the right.

check your tire pressure... is those are dead on, then ask them rotate your tires from side to side, if your car then pulls the other way, one or more of your tires has what is called a radial pull (one tire was wound tighter than another). Basicly the next step is they will warranty out 1 or 2 of your tires and that should corrct the problem

I was an alignment tech many many years ago, it was the first thing I used to check

The Toyota tech did the alignment and it still pulled to the left. He checked it out again and found out that you need to rotate the tires. After the rotation the car drove great. Hope this helps.
