I just discovered that the trunk cargo lamp has the same dimensions with the emergency door panel of rear door hook...and I just pelpaced the small door panel with the trunk lamp...this is the result...enjoyhttps://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Y9hGZqUS3mM/UxyVlMq0oNI/AAAAAAAAN7M/vbEALDJakz0/w573-h764-no/20140309_180440.jpg

Umm.. but that's not effectively lighting up the trunk space though...

If your trunk is full this lamp just not exist....for hatchback...

That's wild that it is the same dimensions. I have been meaning for ages to add one up at the headliner, as I often find that my side one is blocked and I can't see.

I have still the option to plug in another lamp to the previous spot...
When I find another probably I do it...

That looks like a clean install, nice going!

How did you run the wires? I know that the lamp on the side is
almost useless when the back is full on the hatchback. I've thought
about trying to add some light elsewhere.

The wire is very easy to run with the other wires of rear wiper...when remove the door panel first of course...

So did you move the light or add it on for more lighting? If you had both you would have the best of both worlds...you might blow a fuse though.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago but with an extra bright LED panel I ordered on Ebay so I have an extra light in addition to the one on the side. I tapped into the existing lamp so they both come on together.
