The third gen kit is: 04423-33030

One per wheel is required.

Sorry - You are second Gen. There was another post about TPMS this morning and that one was 3rd gen related.

04423-33030 is correct as well for 2nd gen.

You can always just bypass the thing and just put in regular valve stems in your wheels... a whole lot cheaper.

Won't you have a constant light on in the dash if you go the rubber valve stems route though?

For 06-11 Yaris you can do my TPMS bypass to keep the light off (and optionally do it with a switch so when you swap back to rims with sensors they will still work). For 3rd gen Yaris this will not work though, as the 3rd gen ones send the messages from the TPMS system to the cluster by CAN bus message.

Is there a difference in TPMS & TPWS?

Is that just different auto manufacturers saying the same thing?

I understand the two acronyms. Just wondering if the actual systems are different.

warning vs monitoring.

Ours is really a warning system, as you can not actively see the info on the tires. Monitoring systems typically have the ability to display the pressure in each tire.

That's sort of what I was figuring. We aren't actually monitoring the tire pressure as much as getting a light when something is out-of-whack.

Thanks for the reply.

I've bookmarked your TPWS bypass DIY. If I keep these Miata wheels on (and our valve stems from the steelies can't be installed into them) I'll have to look into getting that light off in the dash.
