Hi Friends,

I have Yaris 2008, Since few days Car is not Cooling, as AC fan is moving but no cooling

Some time (only for few mints= 3-4 mints) AC is cooling & then stops cooling while fan is working.

I shown this to car mechanic & he told me that compressor has become weak & now its time to replace,

He advised me, that he will arrange a used-Rotary compressor which will be good rather then normal compressor,

Now here I need you experts to advice .... does Rotary compressor is really made for Yaris or it is compatible for Toyota Corolla, or Even we can use Rotory Compressor which is not made specially for Yaris?

What is the basic different between Rotary & normal compressor?

Waiting for you experts to advice better...

thanks & appreciated in advance for valuable inputs,

Regards, :headbang:

The OEM Toyota ones are Continuously Variable Capacity Type Rotary Compressors.

I am not sure if other compressors from other Toyotas would fit the four mounting points of the Yaris engine. Also, many of the larger Toyotas use 6 rib belt pulleys, as opposed to the 4 rib of the Yaris.

i dont know a thing about our Yaris' compressors, but if your mechanic can transplant a compressor "hub" for a non-Yaris compressor (to fit the 4-rib belt) as well as a bracket for the Yaris' mounting points, then i'll say rotary compressors are definitely the better-cooling car compressors (from what i've heard)
