Grounding kit

Questions from a newb-
Would a grounding kit help with an issue I have regarding my RPM dropping at idle each time my Bass hits? Or, do I just have an old battery?

An old battery may be part of it but you probably should add a capacitor in line to your amp to help even out the voltage without taxing the battery, alternator or engine
