Climate Control Knobs Replacement

Hi guys so on my 2006 yaris hatchback the knobs got pushed back in the little casing there in and are now inside the dash. My question is how do i i remove the knobs to replace them or do i need to but a whole new piece to go in there ?

You need to remove the silver panel, which you do by first removing the two vertical black pieces (just pull them off with your fingers, starting at the bottom). Once the black pieces are off pull the speedometer trim back while also pulling the radio trim back. Once those are loose you can pull the A/C control panel off. The knobs snap into slots on the back of the silver panel. Those slots are likely damaged, so you can either replace the panel (or the knobs depending on which side broke) or glue them where the tabs should have latched. Epoxy or Automotive Goop works well.
