Hello there fellow Yaris enthusiasts. My name is Diego and I'm new to the whole Yaris world. I recently just got my brand new 2013 Yaris SE 4 door hatch on Tuesday, and I got to say I love it. It's an awesome car and I love the fact that I got in a 5spd trans. It was hard to find especially due the fact the it's brand spanking new only 50 miles from the dealership and it was manual trans. I just felt like sharing a couple of pics of the car and stuff and hope to meet some cool people on here. Thanks guys. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/y4yhygym.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/e8yduzub.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/yzaqepy4.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/ruhy3y5u.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/yru4eru7.jpg

:w00t: Did Centennial have it in stock, or did they have to do a dealer trade to get it for you ?

Man you are in for it now...great gas mileage, years of trouble-free driving, constant stares...what were you thinking?? :bellyroll:
Welcome & really excited for ya here, 'cause I know the feeling, still! Next Friday will be 1 year since I picked my 2013 Yaris L up from the dealer, and it's all I think of...I still have about another 5 years or so of break-in period 'cause it's only got 6,400 miles on it...

Thanks for posting the photos!! It looks awesome! Look at his face, he's got that Yaris stare already...! :eyebulge:

Lot's of manual fans here, it's actually great to see that. They ARE fun to drive, it becomes 2nd nature in no time at all. Good you are not too far from the dealer.
Yes, that gray metallic really grows on you...it is sharp!

Read the posts here, you'll learn a TON of stuff -

NOTE: Add 1 Yaris to April 2014 Sales Next Month :w00t:

As promised guys I said I was gonna be updating this post with new thing I do to my Yaris. So far here is the first mod. Not a big one but something to start it off. Just go my shift knob that I ordered from eBay. It's a white derlin or duracon what ever you call it but it's good because it doesn't absorb heat or cold. I had a knob similar to this on my Honda Del Sol. I love the way it looks though, it's just a nice offset of color compared to the rest of the car. It was a little bit of a hassle trying to put it on because it didn't screw in super easy but with a little force I got it in there, now the knob has the grooves of the thread. Just wanted to share with you guys. Thanks, hope you guys are having a good day ride safe.

 Given how intense the heat can get in Las Vegas, I can understand the need/desire for this accessory.

@nookandcrannycar yea man big time man. With the heat it's unbearable to have a metal or titanium shift knob. Yea but it's perfect for this weather

I have the SE knob in my car, and even in 95 degree days it doesn't really get hot. my hand barely makes much contact with the top center, which im not even sure is actually chrome. I mainly put it in because the stock hard rubber knob looks awful and the SE knob looks OEM in there (which it is for the SE anyway). It really improves the look in the L model. downside: around $100. somebody should grab Diego's shift knob if he will part with it.

@bebeelo I don't think the automatic knob would fit on the manual due to the fact that the threads might be different. Plus I wanna keep the stock one just incase sorry brother

I took it he wanted to trade his car and a beer for your car, not just the knobs.

I haven't felt what Mighigan feels like at 95 degrees . I've been to 50 of the 53 largest cities in the U.S. by population (according to the list on Wikipedia (2012 estimates based on the 2010 Census) -- I haven't been to Charlotte, Raleigh, or Columbus). Of the 'humid cities', IMO, Houston gets the hottest....feels hotter than even tropical Miami because of the heat effect from all the concrete, not being as close a large body of water, and possibly other reasons. IMO, 3 brutally hot dry or fairly dry cities on that list top Houston....Phoenix, Bakersfield, and Las Vegas. Phoenix is undoubtedly #1, IMO. Not sure if Bakersfield or Las Vegas would be next . A few smaller towns in the desert in California that I've been to in my Yaris give Phoenix a run for its money (Needles, Barstow, and Blythe) as well as some towns in Arizona (Casa Grande, Gila Bend).

That shift knob looks like a white fiesta salt or pepper shaker!

You want hot?

Try sitting in a 1970s GM car with vinyl seats after it's been parked in the sun for a few hours...WEARING SHORTS...

Hot shifter knob...

@yougojay lol that does look that shift knob. Shit that must be ridiculous. Reminds me of my grandmas 1970s cadi with all red leather interior in the summer. Not the business lol 💀

Very nice  . Like the alloys . Pull a condom over the shifter so not to get it dirty since it's white . Don't use lubricated , could make for poor shifting .
