Hey guys, this has been going on for a while and it's getting pretty annoying. It will make this moaning/humming type noise when the heater/AC is turned on and I am off the throttle (either idling or braking, coasting, etc). If I'm on the throttle it doesn't make it. If it's idling and making the noise, I can blip the throttle and it will stop. It doesn't seem to affect the car's function or anything, but it's really annoying. Anyone have any ideas? I thought maybe it was a belt but it doesn't seem to be.

water pump?
it's just a hint, cuz mine did it when i'm off the throttle, but it is fine otherwise. Turned out to be the water pump bearing on it's way to being ceased up.

That's no good. My car has 66k on it, is it normal to have to replace the water pump that early?

Oh dear. So I did some reading and apparently there's a notorious spray that happens when the water pump goes bad. Well mine did that. About 2 years ago. It's not been running hot or anything, how has my engine not exploded? Does it just "fix" itself after a while or what?
