hey guys anyone here have already done a rebuild on his blitz sc i need to know how to take appart these two shaft i take this picture here on the forum but no response

Assuming that ours uses a bolt-and-taper, you remove the bolt from the center of the clutch, then pull the "armature assembly" off the face of the "rotor" (see the installation link below). You may need a gear puller for that.

So I picked up this kit for spares and tinkering, but have hit the same wall as Radou. I.e. I can't get the shaft apart. I tried a small slide hammer yesterday with no result. Granted I didn't have the whole thing held down very well, but there was no appreciable change to the gaps in the shaft.

The part that has me completely stymied is that there is a split in the shaft, just below where the snout bearing sits. This leads me to believe that there is something else going on between the OEM shaft (line illustration) and the Blitz shaft. Potentially, there is a threaded fastener holding the Blitz shaft to the OEM. That would explain why the slide hammer isn't doing much on that end, but doesn't explain what's happening at the split. Could be splined, could be a press-fit, could be threaded as well. I doubt even an X-ray machine would help here, since it's all steel.

I've tried to contact the original poster of the top image (Will-I-Am) but haven't heard back. His forum stats show activity as recently as last week, so I assume he's still around from time to time.

Seeing that the left side has a hex and is threaded, is there a need to remove the part
you're questioning about? If it is removable, it looks like it may have been press-fitted
though I wouldn't know either. I don't see the spline. Is there a key way somewhere on
that thing?

From the images in this thread, I could only guess that that cylindrical part is part of the
shaft or that it was press-fitted.

The input shaft rotor is on the other side of the body from the nut. I can't get the shaft out of the bearing because the nut is now captive. I assume that there's a press fit for the spline, but it's not responding to pulling force alone. Hence my concern that there's a threaded fastener hiding in there.

The line drawing in the bottom left corner is from the Ogura dimensioned drawing of the base TX07. It indicates a spline and a female thread--just like on the end of the shaft extension. I'll see if maybe I can do some CAD models of what I think is inside.

Took it to the machine shop at the uni, hit it with a torch, fell right apart. Pics to follow.

It was a learning process, as much as anything, so I'm not too worried about getting it back to its original state.

Turns out the damned thing is splined all the way through, as well as having a liberal coating of threadlock. If you're so inclined to rebuild your kit, I would advise a bit more caution than I used--the acetylene torch was good and blue, and was applied directly to the coupler for almost a minute. You can probably get away with propane/butane, just try not to make the metal change color--that means you're annealing (softening) it.

Wow! Splines all the way through that bore! I guess Ogura didn't want anyone to
dismantle their work! The extreme heat must've broken up the threadlock. Perhaps you
can start your own blitz supercharger repair shop by now? :)

I spoke with Ogura recently about parts and they don't sell any parts, so it looks like they intended them to not be repaired.

Yeah, not really interested in trying to run a business based on repairing un-repairable aftermarket parts for a market of a few dozen people worldwide. =P
