What are the defects?
The spring mechanism that locks the front seat track into the adjusted position may break. If this occurs, the seat may appear to be locked but not fully engaged.
What are the hazards?
The seat could move in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of injury to an occupant.
What should consumers do?
Owners should avoid frequent front seat adjustment. Owners will be contacted by mail when parts are available to present their vehicle to a Toyota dealer.
