I have a 2010 that was pulling some srs codes, I disconnected the negative terminal to see if that would clear them. Long story short, the aftermarket alarm that the previous owner had installed is going off and the car will not start. I have no idea where the alarm remote is and now the car is inoperable. Can I remove the alarm and just eliminate this headache?
You'll need to find the alarm and trace each wire it's connected to. It's likely the starting circuit is being interrupted by the alarm and you'll need reconnect it after removing the alarm

Im sorry to hear you are having problems with your car because of this. I cant tell you how many times after market (or even factory!) alarms cause problems that people have come to me to help them with. My sons like 93 Altima had a factory alarm and when we changed the battery it refused to start and since we bought the car used and it didn't have the OM, it took THREE DAYS calling half a dozen dealers until someone figured it out and we got the car running!
It would be an unusual situation where a car like a Yaris would be in danger of being stolen!
