How do I turn a "check engine" off?

It is ON since I fill the gas tank and did not screw the gas cap correctly. There might be a trick to turn it off but can't find on this site. Help please.

To reset it without a diagnostic tool, you can disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes.

normally it take 40 warm up cycles or 80 Key cycles to clear a DTCs.
