i bought a set of konig feather rims 16x7 40mm offset for my '09 yaris sedan. i thought i can get feedback from you guys; can i use my stock springs/suspension without rubbing? and what tire size do you guys recommend? i use my car as a daily commute with my wife and daughter.

Yes, you can run those wheels on stock suspension without rubbing.
Recommended tire size 195/50/16 or 205/50/16.

I have the exact same rims with 205/50/16 tires and no problems at all. I just changed my stock springs for TRDs few weeks ago and still no rubbing. FYI, TRD springs gives you a drop between 1" and 1.25".
A week ago, I replaced my worn-out Falken Ziex 912 tires with Bridgestone Ecopia EP 422 and love my Yaris again! The Falkens, while very "sport-performance" tire with great cornering grip gave a very harsh and noisy ride when getting old. The new tires, even of the same 205/50/16 size looks a bit smaller with a slightly narrower footprint. I was looking for more comfort and less noise; they are better than I tought! Cornering is not as great as the Falkens but wow, I get a lot more comfortable ride even with TRD springs than the Falkens with stock springs.

Sorry, just realize yours is a sedan and mine a 08 HB... But, it should be no problems.
