Hello,
I purchased this HID and I have been told that I can install in Vitz 2009, but i noticed that in my original headlight high beam and low beam is separate bulbs, and the one i purchased is in one bulb. I want to know is it possible that I can install this in Vitz 2009. Photos are attached.

any kind of help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Do you have a picture of the headlight on your 09 Vitz? The OEM HID headlights on the Vitz RS have an HID low beam bulb and a separate halogen high beam bulb, but the non-RS Vitz just have one bulb with a high and low filament.

if your low and hi beam are seperate...then that hid kit you have wont even plug in to anywhere..you need to get D4R bulbs.

You have the HID headlight with the halogen high beam. To use the kit you would have to make some wiring changes to bypass your existing ballast.

Since you already have HIDs, why do you want to change to the kit?

Hello CTScott,
I do not have any knowledge about this stuff, I even didnt knew it that I already have HID :D
I have been told that if i get this HID kit, i will have much brighter light and i purchased it.
do you think that with this 55w HID ballast kit i will have more light? if yes, i can do the wire changes if you guide me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think it will be identical to what you have now, as I believe that the Toyota 90981-20009 HID bulb is a 55W bulb as well. Also, the aftermarket ballast with your kit will not be 1/2 as reliable as the OEM Toyota ballast.

If you still want to do the conversion, I recommend getting a set of non-HID headlights and using those with the kit. You could then sell those OEM HID headlights for a significant price.

He's got a Vitz, so they must be RHD headlights?

But then it would be a Yaris, rather than a Vitz.

Most of Europe are LHD.

Yes. But, if he actually has a Vitz it will have been imported from Japan, rather then being a European Yaris. That is pretty common in some areas over there (like Malta for instance).

Correct. as what they do in NZ and Australia.
Even in the philippines where they are/need to be converted to LHD but still referred to as their original (JDM) names (vitz (yaris), fit (jazz), etc.) since the local (PhDM) versions are called their local names.
