loud engine rattle

morning all,
I have a 2004 1.3 yaris and yesterday whilst driving it developed a very loud engine rattle all of a sudden. It sounds like there is no oil at the top of the engine.
If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful. I doubt it is the timing chain as the noise started immediately and has not progressed. Oil pressure light isn't lit, oil is clean and level correct.

Pop the hood and listen around to see if you can pinpoint the location. It could be something like the water pump, with it occurring suddenly.

Remove the drive belt(s) & start the engine. Is it still making the noise?
