So i have some paint chips with a small pinhead size amount of rust in the center, i got the fiberglass pen to get the rust, but i was wondering if anyone knows if a common touch up color available at Autozone, Wal-Mart, and/or Oriellys that is a close match to Bayou Blue.
Also, i have some rust on the edge of the door where door trim would normally go, would that entail the same repair as the spots? Its about an inch long and maybe 1 or 2 mm wide.
I was planning on using the fiberglass pen, then taking some sort of rust neutralizer spray and spray it into a cup and use a brush to brush it on, then use the touch up paint over it.
What do i use to make it flat? I read wet sandpaper is best, but what grit?
EDIT: Autozone said they cant order specific colors, but Oriellys said they can order me the "8T1 Bayou Blue" color, so thats good.
