Maybe I should explain myself a little more. We race a Toyota starlet with the 1300cc engine with minor mods and seem to be getting reasonable HP. In NZ we
do not have any aftermarket parts at all available for this engine. So everything has to be hand made. What I would like to know is how you guys in states get on with internal parts? Does anybody know who as spent time developing these engines? And any information that would be of great help to us.

That engine's not available in the states
You should get in contact with the central/south america guys, they probably know a lot more about it

I have not seen any internal modification to that engine. There are many Yaris here with the 1.3L but they only are running with CAI's and Lightweight crankpulleys.
I think the stock hp for that engine is 86 Hp @ 6000rpm

Thanks for some replies.
From what we have learnt the 1300cc is the same head as the 1500, with that in mind the inlet ports are bigger than a 4AGE 20v. We run 20v quad throttle bodies approx 43mm, custom headers, aftermarket ECU. And with all that done we are running 75KW at the wheel approx 100bhp 7200rpm.
The question is how much more potential do the engines have??????

The 1NZFE engine has 86hp and the 2SZFE engine has 87hp, both 1300cc.
