I hope not re the U.S.....the press release (on the other thread.....not the European one linked to post #1 on this thread) only mentions the Canadian market.

I would like to see the 6 speed manual...if it is done with fuel efficiency in mind. if its just going to mean closer ratios but the same final gear with the same rpms at cruising speed then it wont really mean much for this car with this engine (except more shifting). however, if it gives the yaris a higher cruising gear, some highway mpg's should be gained.
the largemouth bass grill I could do without. its been a trend for the last several years for all manufacturers, so there is no fighting it.

^^^^^ Actually, I just reread the press release and it does make one reference to 84% of 2014 model year production from the plant in France going to the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. However, whenever I have checked the VIN# on inventory, the VIN# has indicated that the car came from Japan (every time). If any U.S. YW member with a 2014 has posted that their car came from France, I've miss seeing such a post.

Looks like a hitler moustache. In all seriousness. This is by far the ugliest front end Yaris ever. It's just getting worse and worse. I know it's Euro designed and all but geezuz. The 3rd gen Yari looks like it was constipated now this one looks like it's pushing a massive t@#d out the ass.

black interior
 I really like the black interior. Could redo the horrid brown plastic with some other color.

:bellyroll:.....the reason for the brown plastic .

Yea, but I wouldn't mind installing the six speed in my current car, especially if it means better gas mileage. We'll see.

If you don't want the new model, the Yaris is probably going to be discontinued altogether in the US.

based on what?
the yaris being built alongside the mazda in mexico makes it even more likely it will continue in the U.S.

Base on nothing. Just an assumption. I still don't know understand why so much hate on a facelift.

it will sell just as poorly as the current yaris unless Toyota decides to stock much more inventory and advertise it.

It's just a US thing. They sell very well in Canada.

i like this one over the asian version which is bigger and is heavier too.
i agree the sea bass grill is worse than the catfish-slash-MasterShifu one that we have here, but the size will make it fun to drive. and the six-speed? wow. don't care if it means more shifting (closer ratios->acceleration) or higher final drive (economy), it will be fun.

i do agree with advertise and more stock...here in Canada we sell few more than US but if we had more on the showroom floor and more options to choose from could help. Main problem is that there is not much profit for the dealer so they try and up sell to a Corolla and that hurts Yaris sales, but who knows with the introduction of the Micra here maybe they will get there ass in motion ...i say this cos since last week Nissan next door sold 4 Micra SR and 2 SV ...and they just got released so i sure hope 2015 Yaris will help with its new look..hate or love ppl will still buy it.

yes they do. over 700 and 800 units the last two months. considering the U.S. has about 9 times the population as Canada, that would translate to roughly 6300 and 7200 units the last two months if the U.S. consumed them at the same rate as Canada. those would be real healthy numbers for a subcompact.

It looks not to bad. Although I like my 2012. I'd prefer a hybrid version in North American. Where I live there are tons of Yaris on the road, especially the older ones. I saw the other day a red 2008 Yaris, it was in mint condition, considering I have what looks like a key line on my hood, a small dent, and a dent on the front. I'm sure many could share their scratches, dent stories on their car :)

and the six-speed? wow.
Six Speed Manual Gearbox is available in Europe since second generation Yaris' facelift.
This facelift is a bit leaned on the prefacelift Hybrid Version here in Europe, which I own:

I'm glad I've ordered a prefacelift HSD

6 Speed is for fuel economy only . how about the engines , does anyone know if a new engine is put in that 2015 engine ? or just the same 1.5 vvti 105 hp and 1.3 vvti 99 hp ?
Why not Turbo engine?

Toyota has never seemed to believe in a turbo version of a car for fuel economy. they went the hybrid route.

I am very glad to have the front end styling of my 2012 model. The newest ones are just not as attractive as I would have hoped. Perhaps it would grow on me if I had one.
