Bad clutch?

At an idle my engine makes a spinning noise (like carbon fiber on metal). Once I press the clutch in it gets louder until I hit about have way to the floor then it goes completely away. Is it a throw out bearing? To be 100% honest I drive A LOT! In some very steep terrain. Idaho Montana is very rugged and someday I will have the money for a truck.... probably should have picked a higher paying job than a corrections officer......q

Sounds like a throwout bearing to me, yes.

Even in mountainous terrain a clutch should last forever if shifted properly. With the drive by wire system on the Yaris that can take some doing...
