my boy who does the PDI'S here got this for me today.part number#55054-52020 glove box door stopper. i guess toyota only wanted sedans to have this but basically it slowly lowers the door when opened...... no picture yet but if some sedan owner wants to take a snapshot:thumbsup:

Remeber the hatch is older. There will be more for the sedan if toyota sells more of them. It'll be next year I suspect till the goodies start to appear more.

What exactly is a PDI boy? I think that the job is a little bit more than that, but who am I to say. Why would Toyota only want the sedans to have it when there is already a spot there for it in the lftbck ? I just don't get it:iono:

PDI = pre-delivery inspection. he does the prepping of the newly sold cars at the dealership, installs all the accesories etc...

glove door stopper? so our glove compartments will have stoppers? sorry for asking such a naive question but what does it do? stop glove compartment?

it lets the door lower slowly so it doesnt just fall freely when you open it. most cars have them. it works similar to how our hatch struts work. it keeps the door from slamming open or closed.

ah i see. the thing that got me confused the most was the fact that it had "glove" in it. Thanks for the clarification.
