I also have an infinity 12" as well i was wondering which one i should try to keep for the LB. i dont know the demensions of the boxes,:iono: sorry but is the hatch big enough for it in your opinion. thanks

It depends on how wide the box is and how deep as well. Barring a huge enclosure, I think two 12 mtx in a box would fit in the back, but it would occupy most if not all your area in the back. I'm talking with our forum box building expert about making an enclosure that resides over the spare tire and occupies the "floor" of the hatch enclosing a 12 inch woofer, making it possible to still use the hatch area. You might consider selling your mtx subs and talk to user name spkrman to build an enclosure that's right for your hatchback if hatch space is a concern.

what are the measurements of your boxes?

its impossible to tell ya without em. Most dual 12 ported boxes wont fit, some sealed will fit.... almost all single 12 boxes will fit.

i have a single 12" MTX with the ported thunder box and it fits perfect, so i would think a double would fit. but hey, i'm no specialist. :burnrubber:

Yeah, borrow a tape measure from a friend.

In another thread jdubau55 (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4267) could only mount his single 12 sealed box facing upwards instead of backwards. There just isn't much height available in the hatch. I have a box from Q-Logic that only fits the same way. The Echo hatch (1st gen Yaris) had less depth, but more height in the hatch, because is doesn't have those storage boxes under the floor.

Oh yeah, do what JustYYaris says, with one 12 built into the floor. That might not be cheap, but it'll be sweet! Do it if you've got some extra money after buying this new car.

I ended up turning it straight up facing the rear. If your double 12" box is like my single 10" box (Typical store bought, slanted front, plain sealed box) then it will fit no problems if you removed the rear hatch cover. It will not fit if you want to keep the cargo cover. I wanted to keep the cargo cover to keep prying eyes from spotting whats in the boot.

lol nope, no cargo cover :( I have my amp mounted on the top of my box and it actually sits as high as the window. I'd show pics but it's my first box build and it isn't the nicest box in the world lol. I'd actually be embarassed to show it :bellyroll:

Isn't that just advertising, "steal me"? I hope you're lucky and nothing happens!
