I am thinking I want to get myself a scangaugeII. I want something that I can use on my Yaris and other vehicles as well (2001 dodge w/Cummins Diesel)...
I know some of you have these.. what's the good and bad about them?
Are there other options? Better? Cheaper?
What features work with the Yaris? What doesn't?
It depends on what you will use it for. Just gas mileage? Or do you want all the other functions the scanguage has? It is by far the most complete package, with the ability to both read codes and then erase them. That is why it costs the most.

You could get the cheaper, ScanGauge-E. Personally I run a Nexus 7 2nd gen tablet in place of the radio, and I also run Torque app to get all the gauges highly visible.

Same for me. Costs peanuts with Torque Pro and so much info.

I like Scangauge for the reliability and flexibility. You can also buy extra cables if you have multiple vehicles making it easy to move it from one to the other.

I want to be able to read and reset codes, as well as see: coolant temp, ambient air temp, MAP (vacuum AND boost), avg & instant MPG, and be able to take readings from various sensors for diagnostics. A compass would be nice but not necessary.
I like the idea of analog style gauges which, I think, the scangauge does not do. In fact, the display seems to be the only drawback to the scangauge.
Something with the functionality of a SGII, but with a slightly larger display for some bar or dial gauges would be perfect!
