Yaris with rear disc brake from factory?

Hello people, looking for a Yaris and noticed something. I see second gen Yaris' with rear disc brakes. I know that the first gen VITZ RS came with rear disc brakes from Toyota but I didnt know about second gens. I have seen quite a few Yaris' with rear disc brakes. So did Toyota ship out some Yaris models with such feature? I would love it if my-to-be Yaris also had one. Should I keep looking in the hopes of finding one or do you think its an aftermarket thing. Thanks.

With second gens, like first gens, only the Vitz RS came with them. If you can track down a complete rear axle assembly, switching over from drums to discs is very easy.

I thought it depended on the market. For example, I thought Euro spec Yaris's came with rear discs as they spend more. Most markets came with drums.

Only the TS. Just how only the SE have it In USDM.

yes, they do. only big difference are ebrake lines, and the caliper bracket...and the rear discs are 260mm..

Hafta look into gathering parts. Drums are worn but hate dealing with them

I'd be tempted to try a conversion and do a right up but need to plan out what parts from what I'll need. Backing plate, rotors, parkbrake hardware, park brake shoes, calipers, anchor/caliper carrier.

Anyone size this up?
