Does the vibration have a corresponding sound that gets louder when going faster? Could be a bad wheel bearing

Tires do get out of round. Many a time, new tires fix the problem.
Anytime you fix a flat, the radial belt will move and the tire will get out of round.

That might be enough miles (if you drove really hard on really bad roads) that some of the bushings in the front suspension (tie rod end bushing ?...etc.) might be worn, or the steering rack might be fried (mine was fried in my Suzuki Swift by 151k miles...with only parts of the last 20k miles on hard, horrendous roads). Don't know if those items would cause the particular vibration you are feeling.

thanks for the info. I worry that it might be a bearing in trans. where the cv shaft goes in. but I don't how you can tell

When I've had CV joints go bad in different cars, the noise was always a clicking that might develop into a thumping if it progressed before repairing. Don't remember getting a symptom that I would classify as a vibration. However the sound always came from closer to the left or right wheel than what you seem to be describing.

wheel balance first ...then move on to other stuff if still there

I had a similar issue a while back and just rotating and balancing the tires fix that front end vibrations.
