Does anyone have Yaris Automatic Transmission Shift issue?

Hi, my 2007 Yaris automatic shift just recently gave out meaning it doesn't shift anymore. I can't even shift into Drive to move the car; it feels almost as if the shifter is disconnected. Does anyone else have this exact same issue? What would be the fix? Is this a known issue with Yaris? Thanks. :iono:

I have not heard of that happening with a Yaris yet. Hopefully it is just a disconnected shifter cable. Does it seem to be stuck in park where it will not move at all (even pushing it in neutral)?

It's stuck in park mode and the car will not move despite moving the shifter into Drive/Reverse. I've heard the remedy was to replace the transmission, man that's expensive. I don't understand how this can happen. Thanks. :w00t:

Does the gear indicator on the cluster change when you move the shift lever?
