I am getting ready to trade in my red Yaris for a new RAV4 (or maybe a Mazda CX-5 or Mini Countryman All4, or...), but before I do I wanted to see if anyone was interested in trading their stock steelies (and a bit o' cash) for her tires and rims.

15x7 Drag DR41 wheels wrapped with Hankook Ventus V2 Concept H437 in 195/55R15. Less than 5,000 miles on them and no curbing or other damage.

$150 + your stock tires/rims. Someone relatively local would be ideal, as we can do the swaparooskie in my garage on my lift.

If only you lived close to me. Why trade in? Why not just sell it for crash?

I may end up doing so, but in general, I hate dealing with people when trying to sell a used car.

Totally understandable, they would bargain, bitch and moan about stupid shit to try to bring down the asking price.

Last chance! Trading her in this week. I actually got a respectable trade in on her.

I won't be taking delivery of my Mini until later this week, so there is still time. The dealership would actually prefer stock wheels to the aftermarket ones, so I will drop the price to $150

taking delivery of my Mini

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: With having another Yaris as a 'steadfast backup', and having the mechanical ability you do, that would have been my choice as well. Other than potential reliability issues, LOVE... LOVE... LOVE just about everything about the Countryman ALL4, especially for use in areas with cold winters that get snow on a regular basis.

 We are kindred spirits on this point. I also prefer a non private party route.

I have always loved the Minis (both old and new). AWD and 4 doors finally made it a doable vehicle for me. I know that reliability won't be as good as the Yaris, so that's why my blue Yaris will still be my daily driver. I am pulling and selling the supercharger from her so that she can go back to burning cheap gas. The turbo Mini requires high octane and I don't want to have two vehicles that do.

That's an awesome deal. It would be worth the gas.
Wish I had the time.
Someone needs to jump on this!

I have a set of steelies and hubcaps but two rims are missing tires. I would do it if I were closer.

Someone in New England needs to jump on this. I have seen these wheels/tires many times and they are a great deal! Hell, at what Scott is willing to negotiate you would even be able to easily have them PC'ed or painted.

GLWS - I kind of miss at times having my white DxRs.

How about we trade. My 2011 HB RS rims for yours? They`re pretty much brand new have got about 20,000 KM`s on them. RIMS FOR RIMS, no tire trade.

Shoot. If we had more time that would be possible, but considering you'd have to come down to CT and we'd have to go to a tire shop and have them swap the tires over, it wouldn't be a practical thing logistically.

Why don't I ship my rims bare to you and when you receive them you ship yours to me... Being that you are the more senior member I will ship mine first that way you know you will be getting the rims. And I trust, based on how long you have been here that you won`t bail on shipping your rims..

Think about it an pm me if you want to do it or email me tkp.nap@gmail.com

Thanks bud

I was trying to have this be a local and quick swap (with no tire shop involved). I was actually supposed to take delivery of my Mini yesterday, but now it is looking like it will be ready on Monday. That wouldn't give enough time for having you ship your rims down to me.

I realized yesterday that I have a perfect set of steelies on Crashy (my snowplowing Yaris), so I am considering doing the swap with her.

Make the road trip this weekend! If the Mini is ready on Monday, like the dealership is saying, then my red Yaris gets handed over to them with the rims still on it that day.

Do you need stock wheels? Or would you be okay with a set of alloys with some snow tires?

They would need to be stock wheels (steelies or alloys) with rubber that is in good shape.

I have steelies but no hub caps. Or factory Mazda alloys with that look stock. general arctic altamax tires 5/32 even tread wear could be put on either rims. Do you need tpms sensors?
