What's going on everyone. I finished installing the h&r street perfromance coilover kit on my 2011 yaris rs HB. I was running eibach prokit springs on stock shocks and struts. Wasn't a big fan, the eibach sprigs were too soft for tracking the car but great for the road they promoted a lot of body roll and terrible steering input and feed back.

First impressions of the h&r kit are wow! Solidly built kit, nice and simple install and great build quality. The fronts have built in bump stops in the strut itself as they are inverted whereas the stantion is internal not external. The ride is rougher as there is a lot less rebound but it is still very comfortable and drievable everyday. Biggest improvements have to be the body roll is almost non existent, steering response and feedback is tremendous, braking has improved tremendously as the car doesn't nose dive like the titanic and its recovery from side to side maneuvers is spot on. The car is just really controllable now. At the height setting I have it at I have slight rub spots when cornering really hard where the load is on the front driver side wheel. For reference the finger test is 1.5 finger gap front 2 finger gap rear. I live in Toronto, Canada so I sprayed the crap out of all the new suspension parts and hardware with white lithium grease. I've attached a pic with it peppered with grease haha. http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag374/metrixlp/IMG_20140804_152325788_zpsb4cca8co.jpg

Only other suspension mods are a rear TRD sway bar. I have on order a tanabi front strut bar (thanks Garm!). For reference in the picture I am dropped at 12.25 front and 12.50 rear (measurements taken from middle of centre cap to fender). The rims and tires are 195/50/r16 (rims are motegi mr125 16x7 with 40 offset)

I'm changing the rims to a gold konig feather 15x6.5 38 offset with bfg gforce comp2 195/55/r15. I'm going to the smaller rim to shed some unsprung weight. The motegis (light for a 16" wheel) are 15.2 lbs whereas the 15" feathers are 11.9 lbs.

I'm doing more work to the car (DC header, aem CAI, mi crank pulley, tanabi tower brace and the wheels when they arrive). I'll update with pics and thoughts. Thanks.

when I get my rims on I will also re-install my thule aero roof rails... I took them off because I did a long trip and I didn't need them and for some reason the car just doesn't seem to look as good with out them.

So how much weight did you save on the wheels combined with the tires?

Not sure with combined weight. But just in the wheels its a difference of 3.3 lbs per wheel. Based on hand weighing the golds are definitely lighter complete. Also a huge difference in driving. Less resistance from the wheels both in dead stop acceleration, cruising and braking. Money well spent for sure.

I liked the old wheels better...but lightweight is always better

Could you by chance tell me where a fellow Canadian in the GTA can his hands on a TRD rear sway bar? Even better, could you tell me where you got yours?

Ordered it directly from the stealership when I first bought the car in 2011. Paid a primo for it. I know there is an online TRD dealer that is also a vendor here that carries it. Google "trdsparks". Hope that helps.
