The stock muffler looks nasty and I hate the crappy little tail pipe. I daily drive the car and don't want to annoy the neighbors...

I came across the Tanabe Medallion Touring and it seems to be on the quieter side of aftermarket mufflers. The youtoube clips make it sound just a bit louder than stock but smoother. What else is out there that's comparable and isn't a full on can of angry bees?

^^^Want to ditch the rusty muffler too and am fine with a touch louder and smoother. So that's my criteria;)

At only $50, the price is right.

And you could always add a custom tip to it.

Anyone have any suggestions on muffler hangers? I know the exhaust I bought is very snug and can rub the stock oem bumper... I was thinking about swapping out the hangers with the ones micro image sells but wasn't sure on the spacing I needed to go with?

What are the stock muffler hanger dimensions so I have a point of comparison?

I measured a stock exhaust hanger for you. With no weight pulling on it, it measures 27mm from the center of two holes. And the holes measure just about 20mm.

Oooo... nice.

It should be extra deep with that longer pipe looping around from the back of the muffler.

You could bend that last hanger rod a smidge to drop the tip to clear the bumper
