Gone is the 2011 Silverado 1500 LTZ thankfully and now we are the happy owners of a 2012 Highlander with 16k miles. We got a pretty decent trade and price on the Highlander. After figuring it between payments, insurance, registration, and fuel alone we will be saving over $150 month. Also should be less recalls and shop time. We loved the truck, but I have a feeling that we will be more in love with the Highlander. One of the first orders of business will be upgrading the rear bumper reflectors to LED lights from iJDMTOY. This truck is fully loaded and has enough cupholders and power points for an army. Toyota really got it right.

Nice choice! I swear that Toyota designers believe that anyone who drives a Toyota truck has thirst issues. My 2011 Tacoma had 11 cup holders.

cool!
found the first thing to adjust to compared to the Yaris; the Highlander doesn't have the same type of ignition so I keep flicking the key and of course the starter doesn't engage :-/

. A few times so far, my left arm has reached to put the drink in my hand in front of the AC/Heat vent . Fortunately, my brain must be sensitive to actually finding the holder, because I haven't let go of a drink in mid-air.......yet .

just figured out another bonus. dealer said this this one didn't have sirius xm but it does and it still works! found an old insurance card in the glovebox and called the previous owner to let them know to cancel and theu said they never paid for it. Apparently it came from the dealer with 1 year of service and it never shut off.

 Right after we graduated from high school, my best friend moved to New Jersey from California (re a promotion his dad received). A very nice part of New Jersey, but he still hated it and didn't last very long there. He came back, and lived with us for a bit (I attended a Catholic college for my first two years and lived at home). While he was there, we added HBO to regular cable and he paid the difference. My mom soon tired of this arrangement and told him he had to make other arrangements. We called and disconnected the HBO after he left. He moved to another friend's house (they had known each other since pre-school, I'd known them since the 7th Grade, and my best friend's mom, the other friend's dad, and my dad all grew up together in San Francisco. One day, after my best friend had moved in with the other friend, the other friend's dad was racking his brain because he couldn't find a particular pair of shoes. My best friend walked into the room, and he was wearing the pair of shoes the dad was looking for . The friend's dad kicked him out and he had to go back to New Jersey. The month after my friend left and my mother canceled HBO, she didn't get a cable bill (HBO stopped, but all the other channels were still on). My mother didn't get another cable bill for about 12 years, and when she finally did get one, it was for one month of service!
