Hi guys! I need some advise. So i got a air intake custom made which isnt fitted yet as i kept getting the check engine light come on. A hole is cut for the sensor but keeps get the CEI. When fitting the stock airbox, no engine light comes on. Any ideas? Below are some photos. Cheers!

in the second pic it looks like the sensor is sitting sideways so air flow maybe not direct.

Thanks , the sensor is the same position as it was on the stock air filter box

Also, the diameter of the pipe needs to be the same as the OEM. If the diameter is larger, it affects the airflow value the sensor is picking up. I can't tell in the picture, but if the relocation of the sensor doesn't work, it may be the diameter of the pipe

Hmmm never had that problem could be ...my intake is larger than stock made out of 3 I had around lol

Just had a look at the original position of the MAF on the stock air box and its downwards compared to the pic above. May be the issue but if that doesnt work, any other suggestions?

What is the diagnostics code? It's much easier to pinpoint with those than just a general "check engine" light.

I'm not sure if there are car parts stores in the UK, but over here in the colonies we have stores that will read the codes with an OBD II scan tool for free. If not, a repair garage should be able to.
