I'm thinking about this application for my 2014. Have yet to purchase the iPod. I have the double din head unit that has the HD radio 'feature'. I wonder what experiences people who have this maximum capacity iPod and a 3rd Gen Yaris with the glove compartment ports have had.

I don't think there is a capacity limit in regards to iPod capability.
My very very old 20gb iPod colour does not work with any car I've tried while my newer nano works no problems.

I do it. Mine is in the upper storage slot and I hid the cables so it's totally out of sight.

Hmm...gives me ideas re my 2007. Does your Yaris have the same head unit as the 2007 USDM Yaris ?

I am referring to any car player in general.
My iPod was tested on a 2013 civic, 2010 rondo, 2014 santafe, and my 2012 JVC HU. None worked. So I concluded that my iPod 20gb was way too old to work in any recent iPod capable radios

My OP = re 3rd Gen experiences, but noticing that you have a 2nd Gen (and that you mentioned the Nano works), I was wondering if you have the same head unit in your 2007 that I have in my 2007. Is the 2012 JVC HU in your Yaris ?
