Just finished painting my spoiler and installed it this weekend (along with a MI Lightweight Crank Pulley, Greddy Ti-C Axle Back Exhaust and de-badging the rear). The paint matches perfect, right down to the black sand pearl! (from Automotivetouchup.com)

Super great job with the painting. It doesn't look like you have a bit of orange peel.

Thanks. I primed, sanded, painted, sanded and then wet-sanded it a couple times between clear coats to keep the the finish nice n smooth.

What did you use to attach it? Tape? I just got one of these from CTScott and I'm not sure I want to drill holes in the bodywork--Michigan uses salt in the winters.

I drilled and taped. I figure ill never ever remove it, so making it sure it wont fall off is good

I used the 3m extreme tape. Ill check it periodically and if it starts to get loose, I'll drill. I've seen on these boards that these cheaper spoilers from ebay can crack. So, before I go super permanent, I want to make sure it holds up.

Did you run tape the entire length of the spoiler?

Yes, I cut it into 12 inch strips and did two rows.

How much paint did you use?

looks really good. and the color-matching, even dark ones aren't easy, but it appears you have.

How much paint did you use?

I used two cans of the matched paint from Automotivetouchup and a can of clear coat.

This particular spoiler is now just sitting in my garage unused as I found a different style I liked better. Anybody need a black sand pearl spoiler?

This is the only pic I have showing a little of the new spoiler, but it was factory painted and bought off ebay from someone who had quite a few of them. It's about the same, just sticks out the back a little further and is a little larger.

How much will you sell the one you just painted for?

Let's say $10 plus actual shipping. I'm just looking to get it outta my garage.

Nice spoiler. I was wondering about getting one myself. How much did it set you up back including installation?

The newest spoiler was $49 plus $35 shipping on ebay. I drilled and installed it myself, took about 30 minutes.

The seller (http://www.ebay.com/sch/nassaux/m.html?item=231482696641&hash=item35e571a3c1&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562) is still selling some, but has increased the priced to $149! Now seeing that I paid $49, I got a heck of a deal!

I think I would even pay the $149, it's factory painted, comes with templates and looks really sharp.

wow yeah these spoilers are cheap even at 150+shipping. Save time and money on painting. Im wondering if the holes i drilled for the RS type would be covered, or works with this type of spoiler.

If it helps, here's a different angle for spoiler.

Links or a name for that spoiler... that's sick looking! Just the right amount of extension off the roof line!

Thanks for the help Axiom! Putting this thing on was hairy! Drilling 1/2 inch holes into soft metal... *SCARY*

But all in it all came out looking fantastic.
