My friend (who isnt that reliable in the first place) said that if you get CAI that it makes your MPG worse. Also has anyone installed the AEM CAI, and if so, is it hard or pretty simple? Thanks

i installed my aem intake 2 day ago... and it took about 30 min to do it very eazy install .. and in the aem box there is a how-to paper to tell you every step of the installation.. really hard to make a mistake ;p

We are running a nice special on Fujita and also will be putting Yaris AEM intakes on the shelf this week; overall intakes fairly easy install, remove air box and put piping/brackets in.

The AEM was a very easy install, very clear instructions.

It added 1 - 1.5 mpg.

Ok,Install is easy, and if you can stay off the gas(no fast starts),then yes,it will save gas.All performance parts will bennifit in allowing your engine to run more smoothly, more efficintly,it will also suck up gas and do more with it,but stay off the pedal, and you will save alot of gas.Now if you were to change timing,or mixture, and change somthing in your gas system, then you should be able to get great milage.
