Enkei RPF1 15x7 with 185/60/15s?

Just bought a set of Pirelli p4s prior to starting to mod the yaris... I had originally planned to paint/powder coat the oem rims black but am curious if my current tires would work on a 7" rim without looking strange? I've only got 4-5k miles on them and use the yaris for long distance, high mileage driving which the p4s excel at: 120k miles average per tire on my last set!

I know a lot of people run 205s on 7" rims... although I didn't know if the enkeis were actually 7"s considering I've seen them listed at 6.5" too???

you will have a stretch look , why not get 6.5 ...most 15 are 6.5 im running 15 by 6.5 on 195 55 and they look perfect ...honestly think u should be fine .

Some sites say they're 7 and some say 6.5... I'm fine with a 6.5. Just didn't know if it was a typo or what? Anyone have any pics?

EDIT: Yeah Enkei's site says 15x7... I think I'll just wait and run through the Pirelli's then buy like a 16" version. Anyway just piqued my curiosity;)

I went with slightly wider with 195/60 tires on 15 X 7 rims and really like the nice fit. :smile:

This particular tire size and wheel combination retains exactly the same diameter as the factory stock tires and wheels, so the odometer stays accurate.

The edge of the tire is right at the edge of the rim with this combination so I wouldn't go any narrower than 195 with a 7 inch wide wheel.

Actually, 195/60R15 sits 1/2inch higher than stock 185/60R15, thus increasing the speed read at the speedo. 205/55R15 is perfect.

185/60/15 = 23.7" diameter
195/60/15 = 24.2" diameter


With stock 186/60/15's (23.7"), my speedo was off. With 205/50/16's (24.1"), my speedo was dead on! Just saying the speedo isn't accurate out of the box.

It only really matters what the odometer reads gauged to a GPS. Most speedos will alway read faster than you're actually going.

I know that. I drove on that size for many years...it's not a noticeable difference, but I always hated how my car was always almost 1/2" higher than other Yarii when parked next to.

We likely have different years...
The stock tires on my 2012 were 185/65/15's,
which makes 195/60/15's the same diameter.

Anyways, the difference is marginal. We've drifted far from OP's original question...

Yes. You're quite correct. :smile:
I just checked my records. The difference in circumference between 175/65 and 195/60 is only 1%.

I'm looking for wheels as well. I'm wondering is it worth it to buy 15 inch wheels? I have no hub caps as of right now and planning on buying 185/60r/15.
