Hey guys!

So... very excited, got my new Enkei J-speeds on with awesome Falken tyres on them!

BUT I noticed that when I reached around 70km/h that my car is shaking up and down very fast (in the front), but my steering wheel isnt.

Anyone knows what this could be?

Even without hub rings I've never had a wobble at that low of a speed, I suspect the balancing is botched or the wheel isn't mating onto the hub right. Check the simplest thing first before trying anything else. Take the suspect wheel off and inspect in and the tire for weights missing or bulges in the sidewall or broken belts. If you can't find it then rotate the wheel or wheels to the back and see if the problem follows to the new position of the wheel(s). If after all this The wobble stays in the front then yes you likely need hub rings, You can often alleviate the wobble by remounting the wheels 180 degrees from where they were mounted on the hub but at that point you are just grasping at straws.

Long story short, yes you might need hub rings but I'd try other stuff first.

That is a lot of work for a simple 20$ fix with hub rings ...but do agree if with rings the problem is present do as above , I would start with rebalance and so on.

thought so... I'll try that then! I have some hub rings from the Rota's... not sure if they fit the Enkei's... if not ill buy some new ones!

Thanks people!

Ok ... problem solved!

I swapped the wheels crosslike (like: rear right on front left etc...) and then with mounting them (without hub rings) I tried to do it as secure as possible so the rims wont move when they are mounted on.

so that did the job... also the wheel nuts were waaaaay to tight
