How do you exactly tune a yaris?

Was learning about air-to-fuel ratios and gave a local tuning shop a call. They said they don't have any software to get into the yaris' computer. Saying I need something aftermarket?

On another note, will tuning the AFR to stoich (14.7) on a bone-stock yaris benefit?

Don't think any Toyota ECM's have really been cracked or the code released for them meaning they can't be reprogrammed. So yes, in order to tune you will need something aftermarket and unless you have a handful of boltons there isn't much point in a tune.

Hasn't been cracked but you can add a piggyback. There isn't much to gain from optimizing AF tables but optimizing cam timing is worth quite a bit of HP. The stock engine gains about 10 HP with a camcom.
