Hole on bumper

Does anyone know what the hole in the front bumper is for? I was wondering why it was on their. Thanks

the hold is to attach the tow hook.

On an ECHO, the mount is pretty flimsy. ...less than straight on pull will bend the attachment point on the framerails.
