Drive shaft snap ring - OK to re-use?

Looks like I somehow got the wrong inner snap ring for the driveshafts, and I don't really have time to wait until tomorrow to order new ones. The old snap rings are still there, how bad is it to re-use them?

I think it is fine to do so. Just make sure the opening points down when you insert it.

Crap. I didn't check the orientation. Too dark under there when I popped them in. That said, the gearbox is in and seems to be running just fine. Too bad I didn't put match marks on the steering column before disconnecting it...
