hey guys, I've had my yaris sedan for almost a month now and I'm thinking about vin etching, I've seen two websites that would sell them
1. www.vinguard.org
2. www.vinetcher.com
including shipping, vinguard includes body panel blacklight labels, so it's about 10 bucks more expensive than vinetcher
have you guys have exeprience with any of these companies? I wonder how much of an insurance discount I can get after I get this done.

not sure? VIN etching is kind of pointless actaually, to get rid of it all they have to do is break the glass, which they most likely did to get into the car in the first place

your missing the point, its mainly for when the car is stolen sent to the chop shop to be stripped down, the price to replace all the windows is expensive...

If they're stripping it for parts, they don't need the windows anyway.

I believe the windows are allready marked, but the dealership try to sells you a protection package that puts it in a database they maintain.

i think the main point is you get an insurance discount... for 20-30 bucks, you can get 3-15 percent off your insurance...

I doubt you'll see a discount.

i dunno, but the application for farmers insurance has a line that asks you if you have vin etching, and another line for if you have a car tracking system installed...

Window etching is done on the outside of every window, and some insurance brokers willl offer a discount if you have it, however minimal it may be, its still a discount.

i think it would be different in the states.
but in Canada, we have a company Sherlock. and they do over 50 parts on the car, including windows and lights.
