removal of rear window sprayer?

I figured I'd leave this in third gen as it's on my third gen, lol. I'm trying to figure out how to remove the rear window sprayer....I got a wing. It's for the newer new yaris, the funny matrix looking ones. It will fit, and quite well I think, but the sprayer stops it from being on perfect. I can get the rear light out easily enough, but nothing I do can get the sprayer out. Halpz plz before I break something :p I don't have my rear wiper anymore so the sprayer is not required for me.

The repair manual says to wrap a screwdriver in tape and then push the mounting tabs in on either side to release it.

ah! I could barely see inside of it and can barely fit my fingers in to touch it, I was unsure if there were actually tabs or if it had some sort of twist to unlock deal like the sun visor clips have. I shall try again and post pictures of the wing test fitted if I am able to do so before work :)
