A/T Jerks @ 4th Gear

Please help, I have 2009 Yaris Sedan, I have noticed that my car jerks when the gear shifts specially in 4th gear. I just had transmission fluid/filter change but jerking is still there. Thanks

I have the hatch and mine does the same thing under heavy acceleration about 30 miles ago. Had a transmission shop do it but they didn't do a complete flush as they gave me extra fluid back. I posted a thread about it but to tired to find it. Never resolved it just now I let off the pedal before 4th when going up hill and mashing it. Putting it in 3rd helps on hills.

Had exactly same issue. Flushed all fluid i changed filter. Filled back in as on instruction 2.6qt took her for test ride notice jerking between 3rd and 4th gear. Came home and check level. Was very low. So I added another qt checked again was still low. Added what I had left 0.4 so total was 4qt. Took for test ride jerking was gone. However level was still low. Then I measured drained fluid was over 1gl!!!! I had 1gl empty can from milk so it overflows. Get Toyota dealership this morning and bought another 2qt. So I ended up putting 5.4qt. Technician from Toyota said actually in some cases torque converter might be in position when all "holes" lined up and it actually flushes!!

I had to flush during drive shaft replacement. :)
