Hi I wanted to know what street tires have good grip when using Forced Induction? I was planning to keep my car stock looking from the outside to make a full sleeper and also here in VA cops are anal about cars with mods, so I wanted to keep the stock steeles and add tires with good grip. What tires are people running with forced induction? Anyone still running steeles but upgraded their tires.

Will I have to upgrade with aftermarket rims to support better tires with better grip?

Far too open ended a question. This is one of those cases where # of people with something = # of different answers you'll get.

As far as staying on stock steelies, there is no reason to upgrade unless you want a tire width which is really not compatible with the skinny steel wheels.

How much boost are you putting out anyway?

That is a very open-ended one, but I personally ran 205 width Nitto Neogens. They were super grippy and were very hard to break loose with the supercharger.

Too bad you are on 15's, as mine are 16s and have very little miles on them and I would like to go back to 185 width tires for reducing fuel consumption, now that I sold my supercharger.

I plan to run 8 pounds for daily driving and will go up to 14 psi this controlled with boost controller. Also I will build bottom end. CP pistons, Crower rods, cometic head gasket, ARP head studs.

You don't need serious tires for your boost.
