Hi guys

I am raising my yaris back up after lowering it with tein springs and forgot that I had cut the bump stops in the struts when I did that job.

If I just reassemble the struts with the cut bump stops will shocks bottom out and get wrecked? I imagine they won't since there will still be a bump stop there, though it's just shorter....

I don't know the length of the stock bump stops to know exactly how much I cut off, and I can't remember because it was several years ago that I did the work...

I don't think there's anywhere in town where I can get bump stops and I need to complete this job like YESTERDAY so I don't really know what I should do here. My friend said go buy some hockey pucks and drill holes in them to add them in there for a bit more buffer but I don't know...

Think u should be fine but u can pick up stock bump stops for cheap I bet as for pucks I would not use them they have no give at all tho make good body lifts lol try a parts source they should be about twice as long as the cut once u have . I do have a stock set kicking around .

Well I went around to all the auto parts stores I know around here and none of them carried Toyota bump stops or even generic ones of any kind....maybe I'll call Toyota tomorrow to see if they carry them.

Does anyone else have any solutions to this without being able to get OEM bump stops?

Toyota should be able to order 07 to 2011 model even 2012 to 13 will work
next day delivery for most parts from Toyota

Ok I guess I'll call them tomorrow. I live way up North though and I know for a fact next day delivery will not be next day, more like 4 at best. I also spoke with a friend of mine who has been building custom cars and trucks for years and he said it doesn't really matter, that bumps are basically just a precaution, but the shock won't be able to bottom out anyway because of the spring, so I guess I'll be good. I could just use the chopped ones anyway and still have a bit of a buffer at least.
