2009 110k new suspension?

I am getting new tires and the car's first alignment at 110k. The oem struts/ shocks still work, but they have 110k. It doesn't bounce around but I can tell its been better.
What's your opinions?

Typically I recommend people leave their OE shocks/struts in as long as possible. Most aftermarket struts last 1/2 as long, and often do not work as well as the ones they replace. If the vehicle still settles down after large humps in the road (low speed dampening), and you don't feel the tires leaving the road excessively on rough roads (high speed dampening) I would leave them. It's typically the low speed that goes first.

You'll also have to re-align it when struts are done.

i'd keep the OEM ones if they have not leaked. But i'd say nothing wrong with replacing them if you feel that new ones will be better. KYB is like the premium brand of aftermarket shocks. You also pay pretty money for them.

those that don't last long, i'd say are the 10$ ones you get off rockauto...

Thanks, new KYB for the Yaris all four corners cost about $250 total on tirerack. That seems inexpensive, I am sure install would be a couple hundred more.

so I will wait on the suspension, the local shop wants $330 for strut install and $150 for shocks

I'd leave them. 138k here with stock struts and shocks, AND I'm lowered on Tein S springs. Been this way for 5k and haven't blown them... Yet.

I moved to kyb when I lowered my yaris on teins and find they work great still after 60k on them way better than stock at a good price ...OEM is way over priced for what it is a waist of money cos u can't get so much more and better aftermarket .

Yeah, plus an alignment as well.

KYB work well for import stuff. They last well and the valving is very close to OE. It's more domestics that you cannot get good shocks for, but still plays into imports as well.
