Hi guys so I want to lower my 2008 yaris about 2-2.5 in. Any recommendations on brands or models ? Want something good, no coilsovers. Want a good ride and quality springs and shocks, as far as a sway bar do I also need to put one in the front?

Why no coils? Most spring drop is Tein S Tech, only 2 inch drop.

I've been very happy with my Tein S-Techs on Tokico HP shocks. However, the HPs have been discontinued for the Yaris.
I had coilovers on my '07 Yaris and switched to a spring/shock combo. I never adjusted them, they rode very stiffly, and the springs were delaminating. I didn't need to be any lower than two inches, so there was no reason for me to have coils.

Tokico HP are indeed amazing, i had them for nearly a year before going to Cusco coils. Going from stock to those Tokico HPs was night and day. Taking the same freeway to and from the install place. With the Tokico driving home, i thought the car vibrating itself apart, but it was just cuz they are very stiff so lots of bounce, (you really feel imperfection in road) So if you want a good ride, these are not it. You would want coils to go full soft for daily, and stiffen them up for track if you do, or if you want to slap the car around twisties in the mountains etc.

Well, I guess everyone has a different idea of "soft." My Tokico HPs offer up a much better ride than my Megan coilovers ever did, even on full soft. I think the Tokicos ride pretty well for a lowered car.
I cannot comment on the Cuscos, however.

I have Tokico blues, Tanabe springs, and Whiteline rear swaybar.
The rear sway bar is highly recommended, huge difference in handling.
The Tokico's are stiff and work very well with the springs.
Go with coilovers if you want 2+" lowering, springs will leave a small gap.
