Vent control

I went to switch my vents to defrost today and the knob will move but the vents won't move. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix this?

Does the knob feel funny or easy to turn? Maybe the linkage came unhooked.

^Exactly. That is a common problem. When the flappers in the airbox are cold they are stiff and hard to move, so when you crank the vent position handle the cable connector pops off the back of the dash knob.

To check it, pull the black vertical pieces off with your fingers, pull the radio trim straight back towards you, then do the same with the AC control panel.
